FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Carol Stream, Ill., November 3, 2004 - Constructech magazine, identifying automation and technology solutions, announced the winners of its 5th annual Vision Awards during a ceremony held at Harry Caray’s Chicago restaurant.

The Constructech Vision Awards honor companies that have realized the advantages of advanced technologies to their everyday businesses. Any company involved in commercial, residential, or heavy construction, subcontractors, architectural and engineering firms, corporate owners, facility management companies, government agencies, and land developers could nominate themselves for this award.

"This year’s winners emphasize what it takes to operate successful business in the construction industry and related fields. The winners have demonstrated their commitment and understanding of how technology can help them effectively improve and enhance their companies and their bottomlines," says Peggy Smedley, editorial director and publisher. "It was great to meet and greet all of the winners and personally congratulate them on their win.”

Entrants were asked to describe the challenges they face within their organization and how they used technology in an innovative way to solve the problems and what benefits were received by choosing this technology solution. Constructech's independent panel of judges – Sally Love, Paragon Worldwide; Brad Holtz and Joel Orr of Cyon Research; Gretchen McComb of FMI; and Christian Burger of Burger Consulting Group – evaluated the entries based on the individual merits of the company and the success each had with applying technology to certain issues within the organization.
