Carol Stream, Ill., July 7, 2010 – Today, the winners of the Constructech 50 were named by Constructech magazine.

The Constructech 50 is a listing of the most influential construction technology providers with a strong and ongoing market presence. This resource is determined by the editors of Constructech magazine and is published in the annual Constructech IT Playbook.

Some of the criteria used in determining the list include having a strong product/service aimed at the construction industry, ongoing customer satisfaction and growth, as well as outreach and educational efforts for the construction industry, among other considerations.

The Constructech 50 continues to function as a snapshot of the current construction climate. The construction industry is still an ever-changing marketplace, but the use of innovative technology continues with a solid presence.

Many companies that were a part of the Constructech 50 in 2009 again made the list. However this year did see some new additions to the list based on changing market factors.

Some of these companies came from the area of wireless/mobile, as well as mobile hardware providers. These were the highest-ranked categories of emerging/hot technology to have an impact on the construction industry in the next five years, according to a recent Constructech survey.

“Choosing the top 50 solution providers in the construction space was no small feat,” says Peggy Smedley, editorial director, Constructech magazine. “After much debate and discussion, we believe these 50 companies are bringing consistent and important solutions to those in the construction industry. And for their accomplishments, they should be commended.”
