In the construction industry, it’s crucial to ensure project information is accessible by everyone involved in the project. Prolog Converge, which some Cram customers have been using since 2008, is a new solution which combines a Web-services platform with an online-based user interface.
Customers can use Prolog Converge to securely access and transmit project information to other users over the Internet. Prolog Converge uses XML technology and SOA (service oriented architectures) to connect a customer’s role-based applications to its central database. The solution enables companies with teams scattered throughout multiple locations, as well as their partners, to be able to access project information in the database over a secure connection, from any location.
One of Prolog Converge’s newest functions, now integrated with the ProjectXnet Cloud Hosting Services, is the SSO (single sign on) capability. With this function, various users can access the data while all being supported by a single security source, enabling faster and more reliable project deployment.
When it comes to construction projects, one has to remember there are users working at various different levels of the project at any given time. Using a Web-based solution gives all parties involved the ability to access the information they need when they need it, without disrupting the flow of operations.
