Tech Providers Partner-Up
March 03, 2010
Some contractors find that working closely with consulting experts and technology providers can help them take more advanced steps into software implementation. These days, technology providers are partnering up with a number of other industry professionals, in order to allow construction companies to get the most out of technology.
Meridian Systems, www.meridiansystems.com, Folsom, Calif., recently announced a new partnership with Bangert Computer Systems, www.bangertcomputer.com, Burlington, Iowa, a provider of construction software and consulting services.
This partnership will allow Bangert to provide professional services for Meridian Prolog in the Midwest. This type of partnership gives construction companies the opportunity to work with a consulting company that can help implement the software.
For contractors on the East coast, Dexter + Chaney, www.dexterchaney.com, Seattle, Wash., partnered with PSSGroup, www.pssgroup.com, Woburn, Mass., a company that provides computer software integration and training services for construction companies.
Through this partnership, PSSGroup will provide services for Dexter + Chaney’s Spectrum Construction Software. This means construction companies will be able to tap into PSSGroup’s expertise to use the software and improve construction businesses.
As another example, CMiC, www.cmic.ca, Toronto, Ont., recently partnered with Constructive Insight, www.constructiveinsight.com, Loveland, Ohio, which offers a system-as-a-service program for contractors.
Through this partnership, contractors will be able to gain access to the functionality of CMiC construction software, while Constructive Insight implements and maintains the software. This means construction companies can focus on running operations, while the Constructive Insight takes care of the backoffice tasks.
On another note, CMiC also recently announced it joined the Kofax, www.kofax.com, Irvine, Calif., Technology Alliance Program. Kofax is a provider of document and business process management technology, and the Technology Alliance Program allows technology providers to leverage the Kofax export connector capabilities.
This means construction companies will be able to integrate Kofax document capture solutions for invoice processing with CMiC software. The integrated solution will reduce the need to manually enter invoices and documents, which will improve the accounts payable process.
