Developing Integrations
July 24, 2009
For years, many construction companies have been looking for a way to seamlessly integrate accounting, estimating, project management, and scheduling, among others, in an effort to reduce double entry and share information throughout the entire organization.
To help, Meridian Systems, www.meridiansystems.com, Folsom, Calif., announced the PDN (Prolog Developer Network)—a developer-oriented program—is now available to customers and technology partners who plan to build Prolog integrations.
Subscribers can access a library of software when creating integration applications for Prolog. Also, users can access tools to develop new OBAs (Office Business Applications), meaning they can customize the pre-configured OBAs included in the Prolog Connect Collaboration Pack.
“PDN uniquely supports its members with easy access to a variety of expert resources, allowing customers and partners to reduce costs and save time when extending Prolog to other business systems and applications,” says Sallie Sutter, vice president, client services, Meridian Systems.
Some new PDN Meridian customers include Stantec, www.stantec.com, Edmonton, Alta., and Turner Construction, www.turnerconstruction.com, New York, N.Y. Some PDN Meridian partners include NoteVault, www.notevault.com, San Diego, Calif., The Cram Group, www.thecramgroup.com, New York, N.Y., and Vela Systems, www.velasystems.com, Burlington, Mass., among others.
According to Meridian, one benefit of this network is subscribers will have access to shared knowledge in a catalog of common development patterns, meaning members will be able to increase efficiencies through samples provided by peers.
The Meridian PDN offers construction companies the opportunity to build their own Prolog integrations, which might help companies on the mission to achieve high levels of technology integration.
