Land Development Assistance

September 03, 2008

What if every time clients inquired about a design change you could answer them on the spot? This scenario might become a reality for civil engineers with the release of a new Web-based tool.

BLUERIDGE Analytics, www.siteops.com, Charlotte, N.C., announced the addition of Site Cost Optimization Reports (SCOR) to its Web-based land development software suite. As part of the company’s SITEOPS Online Tools 3.1 release, SCOR allows civil engineers to compare and analyze cost implications of different site designs.

SCOR reports present data from different cost-optimized design solutions side-by-side. This tool provides a way for engineers to provide clients with layout and cost options during the conceptual site design phase, months earlier in the land development process.

According to BLUERIDGE, SCOR reports can be accessed via email or from the SITEOPS Web application. For each design solution, the report includes cost comparisons, 2D site designs, and 3D site images from various different viewpoints.
